"Louie" |
My family is so grateful to your organization for finding my beautiful dog, Louie. He had been in the midst of a kitchen fire and we now know, was burned on his hind quarter. In the confusion of people helping to put out the fire, Louie dashed away and entered a wooded area. My family and I would like to make a donation in honor of the family, friends, and neighbors who searched for Louie those two days. Please let me know how we can provide such support to your organization. Once found, we immediately took him to the hospital. He is now is at home, under the care of his vet and his wounds getting better every day.
Thank you so much for your dedication and compassion -- without your help, I do not believe we would have found Louie.
With Deep Gratitude ~Sabrina Geraci-Yee

Thanks so much to LAFPOLI for helping us find Gucci! How amazing is this page? We were called for information and within minutes Gucci's story was posted and less than 24 hours later Gucci was back in the arms of his foster mom. Thank you so much for helping us bring him back! I would reccommend this page to all!!! ~ Anna Fitzgerald Pancaldo of LCAR 8-6-12 (Guccis Facebook ad)

"Menchie" |
On 02/14/12 Menchie ( pug) went missing from my in laws house in Deer Park LI I was not aware of LAFPOLI and Christine reached out to me through a craigslist ad I posted for lost dogs. Menchie was found a day later;without LAFPOLI'S help i would have never found her. Menchie is deaf and partially blind so you could just imagine my relief that she was found safe. I want to thank Christine for taking time out of her day to make some calls for me, since i live in the Bronx I am not aware of the LI area nor do i know anyone. We are very grateful and appreciative to have LAFPOLI's help and Christine's personal help with this situation. ~Lina Perez |

"Bentley" |
On, 06/23/12 Bentley, a Jack Russell Terrier, ran away from my aunt's car in the Queens area. Now that I know and trust in Lost and Found Pets of Long Island so much, the first thing I did was post a picture on their Facebook page. About one hour later, Nicole Dibona contacted me saying she had found Bentley! Nicole checked the LAFPOLI Facebook page and the post I put up for Bentley. Once again I'm so grateful for LAFPOLI and their contacts. Bentley means a lot to my aunt since she lost her husband recently to cancer. He was his dog and she vowed to keep him safe, he means so much to her and the family. |

I just wanted to say how great this FB page (LAFPOLI) is. Bentley was only gone for 2 hours. If I had not known about this page I would have never looked and Bentley would have been placed in a new forever home. It is very important that people who live in Long Island become aware that this page is available to them. Everyone should use this page when they lose a pet. Thank you Lost-and Found Pets-of LI |

A tremendous thank you to Lost and Found Pets of Long Island. Our dog was lost over this past weekend and because of their page, the wonderful woman who found him sent a post out and was able to be directed to my post and call us! We could not be happier and are so thankful for this page and for the wonderful people who maintain it and for the wonderful people in the world who care enough to post and repost to help people get re-united with their furry children! Much love and thanks to you all and I am forever a friend on FB and will cross post your posts in hopes to help another family get a wonderful outcome just like we did! Thank you!!! Thank you to Lost and Found Pets of LI. After finding a sweetheart shihtzu yesterday, I wasn't quite sure what to do. We are dog lovers and would of course keep him but I knew someone had to be missing him. I was really surprised that there were not more sites to search for missing dogs in the area. Luckily I stumbled upon Lost and Found Pets of LI. I posted that I found a dog and then scrolled down to find his picture! I couldn't be happier to find Bandit's mommy and although Bandit was sweet and friendly with my kids and family you could see how happy he was to be back with his mom! LAFPOLI did a great job of supporting both sides and helping a lost dog find his way home. Thank you! |

As manager of the AES in Commack, your info has helped return pets brought into our hospitals as "stray" to their homes WITHOUT going to the shelters. great job!!!!! |

Fortunately, I've not had to use your site or postings to find a pet, but it warms my heart to know there are kind people out there like you, who take the time to do this. You truly are a blessing to the animals and their pet parents. The reunion stories are the best heartwarmers. |
