How to create an effective lost/found pet flyer
FLYERS ARE ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL IN YOUR SEARCH!
FLYERS GET THE SIGHTINGS & LEADS!
Flyers are ESSENTIAL in your search for your missing pet! Be sure to add your most recent PHOTO and a CONTACT number where you can be reached at ALL times. Writing should be BOLD so that a passerby in a vehicle can read it.
Keep it simple:
Think about posting flyers on neon poster board sheets, and placing them either in upside down, large Ziploc bags (to keep them dry), or clear protective sheet covers purchased at your local stationery supply store.
Share flyers in HIGH TRAFFIC areas such as train stations, supermarkets, bagel stores, pizza places, pet stores, in and around ball parks where KIDS play SPORTS.
Share near schools, in lobby with permission, with postal carriers, landscapers, sanitation workers, school bus drivers, vets, groomers, animal hospitals and of course municipal animal shelters. You should even drop a flyer off at your local precinct and fire departments.

Flyers are also essential for a
found stray, HOWEVER, we encourage finders NOT to add a photo or a description of the pet as
you want the rightful owner to describe the pet to you.
